Winter Break

Well well this weather really does have it's ups and downs.
The ups of course are the pretty winter postcard scenes...

I have to admit though that they are better now BUT getting out now is too hard. Ventured out on Sunday and took a dive, saved only by my shoulder. This was not good and after spending the night in hospital...( much to the disgust of the A and E staff who thought a couple of paracetamol and Brufen would sort it). I'm home complete with broken arm. The break is up near my shoulder and so cannot be put in a brightly coloured plaster, or be fixed with tape or nails and screws. I have to do the patient bit, have patience and wait for it to get better. Some people will do anything for a bit of time off over the holidays...I'll even have to let other people decorate the tree and cook the dinner. They say a change is as good as a holiday, I'm not so sure. I'm off to learn some patience, could be hard...

  1. Oh my goodness! Poor you, that's terrible stuff. I fell over twice on the way in yesterday and have been saying I feel like it's only a matter of time before I do some serious damage.

Hope you get the hang of that patience thing quickly!

  2. What an awful thing to happen. It sounds awfully painful :0(

You'll have to take more of a supervisory role over Christmas. Dishing out orders might be fun.

Hope you're able to hold a mug of coffee and a good book.

    Take care x

  3. Oh no!! Poor you, it does sound sore and a right pain in the proverbial.
Look after yourself and I hope it's not too stressful delegating those essential Christmas jobs.

  4. Looks like a bit of Internet shopping might be just the thing! Thankyou for all your good wishes and comments. They are really appreciated.

  5. Hello - just popped over here from the Coffee Lady. I love your header - what beautiful images.

So sorry about your arm - snuggle in and I hope it mends.

  6. Chocolate is good for broken arms........really............ ;O))))

  7. Hi Helen, Thanks for following my blog... and welcome! Sorry to hear about your arm and hope you give it all the rest it needs.

  8. Hello Helen...I found you via Silverpebble...I see that I am in good company in this comment box and I think that you are going to find exploring Blogland a perfect distraction for your enforced rest period.

  9. First time popping in, love all your pictures, but so sorry to hear about your fall and arm. It does indeed have it's pro's and con's. Take care, xo Robin
